Kelantan's Awards 2017

Thirty nine were bestowed with honours of various titles giving them the Datuks Title.

As reported in The Star on 11 Nov 2017, thirty nine made it as Datuks in conjunction with Sultans birthday celebration of Sultan Muhammad's 48th birthday in Kota Baru, Kelantan.


AA. Ahli yang Pertama (Seri Paduka) for Darjah Kebesaran Kesatria Mahkota Kelantan yang Amat Perkasa (SPKK)  carries the title Datuk.
-Azizan, a defence and security expert, was the sole recipient of  award that

BB. Ahli Yang Kedua (Datuk Paduka) for Darjah Kebesaran Jasa Mahkota Kelantan Yang Amat Setia (DPJK) award that also carries the title Datuk.
- Kelantan police chief DCP Datuk Hasanuddin Hassan and his deputy SAC Din Ahmad were among eight personalities conferred.
-  Two judges, academicians (three), and top civil servants (11) with various awards carrying the title Datuk.

CC. Education Ministry secretary-general Datuk Seri Alias Ahmad (SPSK), Human Resources Ministry secretary-general Dr Mohd Gazali Abas (DPSK), Environment and Natural Resources Ministry deputy secretary-general Datuk Suhaimi Mamat (DPSK), and Malaysia Communications and Multimedia Commission COO Dr Mazlan Ismail (DPSK).
Only two politicians were conferred Datukship awards. They are Deputy Regional and Rural Development Minister Datuk Ahmad Jazlan Yaakub of Umno and Gual Periok assemblyman Mohamad Awang of PAS. Both were conferred the DJMK.

DD.Among the figures from the business sector conferred the Datukship awards are JL99 Group executive chairman Datuk Seri Lee Boon Kiat (DJMK) and Tan Ah Choo (DPKK).Other Datukship award recipients are ambassador to United Arab Emirates Syed Md Hasrin Syed Hussin (DPSK), lawyer Sunil Abraham (DJMK), and USM cardiothoracic surgeon Prof Dr Mohamad Ziyadi Ghazali (DPSK).

EE. Others are Prime Minister’s Department research division director-general Datuk Hasanah Ab Hamid (DPMK), Finance Ministry national strategy unit director Datuk Dr Aminuddin Hassim (DPSK), Kelantan Religious Council member of ulama board Wan Hassan Wan Muhammad (DJMK), South Kelantan Development Board (Kesedar) general manager Fazam Mat Lazim (DPSK) and Kelantan Federal Development Department director Yahya Mamat (DPSK).

Looking at the number, it is tame as compared to Pahang.

Sultan Perak's Birthday Honours 2017

In conjunction with the birthday of the Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah, on 4 Nov 2017,  a list of honors with bestowed. Leading the list is the Sultan of Kedah, Sultan Sallehuddin, with DK award.
The ceremony will be held on Sunday 5 Nov at Istana Iskandariah, Kuala Kangsar.

CC. Darjah Dato' Paduka Cura Si Manja Kini (DPCM) with title Datuk.

- Speaker Dewan Undangan Negeri (DUN) Perak, S Thangasvari.

EE. Darjah Dato' Pahlawan Taming Sari (DPTS) yang membawa gelaran Datuk Pahlawan
- Ke­tua Polis Selangor, Datuk Mazlan Mansor
- Ketua Cawangan Khas Polis Perak, Senior Asisten Komisioner Mazlan Santarai.

Federal Territory Awards

In conjunction with the Federal Territories Day on 1 Feb 2017, The new Agong (King) had accorded various awards and honors to the list of 375 worthy recipients.

A. Darjah Seri Utama Mahkota Wilayah carrying the title: Datuk Seri Utama
Recipients: - Tun Abdul Ghafar Baba, Tan Seri Mohamad Zabidi Zainal

B. Darjah Seri Mahkota Wilayah with the title Datuk Seri
Nineteen recipients including Datuk Abdul Rahman Dahlan, Datuk Johari Abdul Ghani and Tan Seri Mazidah Abdul Majid.

C. Pahlima Mahkota Wilayah with the title Datuk
Recipents: Awarded to 76 persons including Dr Rose Lena Lazemi, Dr Junaida Lee Abdullah and Datuk  Dr Azuhan Mohamaed.

Negeri Sembilan Awards 2017

It was reported in Seremban, in conjunction with the 69th birthday of  the Yang Di-Pertuan Besar of Negri Sembilan Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir on 14 Jan 2017, Datuk Dr K. Sree Raman and four others head the list of 832 recipients of titles and awards.

A. Darjah Seri Setia Tuanku Muhriz Yang Amat Terbilang (SSTM), which carries the title Datuk Seri..
Presented to Dr Sree as the sole recipient of the award.

B. Darjah Seri Setia Negeri Sembilan (SSNS), which also carries the title Datuk Seri
Two former Court of Appeal judges, Datuk Azhar Maah and Datuk Mohd Hishamudin Md Yunus, The State Secretary Datuk Mat Ali Hassan and UKM vice-chancellor Prof Datuk Noor Azlan Ghazali will also be presented with the SSNS.

C. Darjah Dato’ Paduka Negeri Sembilan (DPNS) which carries the title Datuk.
Eight worthy recipients were awarded with the Datuk award. They are Linggi assemblyman Abdul Rahman Mohd Redza, Gemencheh assemblyman Mohd Isam Mohd Isa, Negri CPO Dept Comm Datuk Jaafar Mohd Yusof, National Heart Institute deputy head of cardiology Datuk Dr Amin Ariff Nuruddin, former Bar Council president Lim Chee Wee, RMAF assistant Chief of Staff (engineering) Mej-Jen Datuk Razali Abd Ghani, Judicial Commissioner Datin Siti Mariam Othman and businessman Soh Poh Soon.

D. Darjah Setia Tuanku Muhriz Yang Amat Gemilang (DSTM), which carries the title Datuk
They are Raja Datin Seri Salbiah Tengku Nujumudin who is the wife of Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan and Hospital Chancellor Tuanku Muhriz senior anaesthesiologist Dr Wan Rahiza Wan Mat.

E. Darjah Setia Bakti Negeri Sembilan (DBNS) which carries the tile Datuk.
Thirty one recipients, and not all are listed here.  Among the recipients are the Negri PWD director Abdul Karim Tahir, Negri Health director Dr Abdul Rahim Abdullah, social activist Chong Kim Fatt, Malaysian Youth Orchestra Foundation’s Jean Wong Yoon Foong, UKM Medical Faculty lecturer Assoc Prof Dr Hanafiah Haruna Rashid, IJM Corp Bhd senior general manager Hoo Kim See, Rasah MIC chief G.M. Kannan, state Gerakan chief Choong Vee Hing, TJH senior consultant (haematology) Dr Azizon Othman, Signals director Brig-Jen Adnan Adam and Perodua Auto Corp vice- president Zainal Abidin Ahmad.

- Forty people will receive the Darjah Setia Negeri Sembilan (DNS) award,
