Approved Datukship From Malacca

The Malacca Datukship Council will recognise the state titles conferred by the governor of Malacca and not by self-claimed "sultan" and territorial chieftain. The council president, Tan Sri Datuk Wira Ahmad Nordin said that the list of bona fide recipients of the titles are kept in s guarded book.

The star reported that two person was conferred with scores of dubious awards of Datukship. There were report of the Datukship awarded by self-claimed sultan of Malacca, Raja Noor Jan Shah Raja Tuah. Then there is another award by the Undang Luak of Naning, Datuk Abdul Latif Hashim.

Mean while the Malaysian Hair Dressing Association Billy Lim was offerred Datukship for significant amount of money. There are some people who are willing to pay up to rm100,000 for Datukship even from an unrecognised individuals.
