The Sultan of Pahang was celebrating his birthday on 24 Oct 2012 and in conjunction with the birthday, the Sultan agreed to confer 839 awards of various levels. Leading the list of the recipients was the Malaysian chief justice Arifin Zakaria.
The ceremony will be held today at Istana Abu Bakar in Pekan.
The list of the recipients are given below:
A. Sri Sultan Ahmad Shah Pahang (SSAP) award, which carries the title Datuk Seri, accorded to 29 recipients, they are:
Datuk Seri Kong Cho Ha Transport Minister, Home Ministry secretary-general Datuk Abdul Rahim Mohd Radzi, Customs director-generalDatuk Khazali Ahmad, Prime Minister's science advisor Datuk Dr Zakri Abdul Hamid, Prisons Department director-general Datuk Zulkifli Omar, Internal Security and Public Order Director Datuk Salleh Mat Rasid,Telekom Malaysia Bhd chairman Datuk Dr Halim Shafie and Negri Sembilan MCA Youth leader Datuk Dr Lim Chin Fui.
B: Thirteen people will receive the Sri Indera Mahkota Pahang (SIMP) award, which carries the title Datuk.
The list include High Court judges Datuk Sofian Abd Razak and Datuk Abdul Aziz Abdul Rahim, Pahang executive councillorsDatuk Hoh Khai Mun, Datuk Ishak Muhammad, Datuk Mohd Soffi Abdul Razak, Datuk Mohd Sharkar Shamsudin and Datuk Fong Koong Fuee, Public Service Department acting director-general Datuk Farida Mohd Ali and Tenaga Nasional Berhad chief operating officer/executive director Datuk Azman Mohd.
C: Thirty-six people will receive the Darjah Sultan Ahmad Shah (DSAP) award, which also carries the title Datuk.
Datuk Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail, Datuk Mohd Sahfri Abdul Aziz and Datuk Shafik Fauzan Sharif; Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission deputy commissioner Shamshlan Baharin Mohd Jamil, Welfare Department director-general Norani Mohd Hashim, Kuantan Municipal Council president Datuk Zulkifli Yaacob, Felda director-general Datuk Dzulkifli Abdul Wahab and lawyer Datin Seri Gazel Kam nee Gazel Ong Mei Yin.
D: 104 are receiving the Darjah Indera Mahkota Pahang (DIMP) award that carries the title Datuk.
The recipients include Chang Hong Seong and Sapura Groupexecutive director Shahriman Shamsuddin. Others include political secretary to the Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Yusoff Hanif, Pekan MCA division chief Tan Yang Meng, KLIA Customsdirector Badaruddin Mohd Rafik, Environment Department director-general Halimah Hassan, Bukit Aman Special Branch assistant director SAC Hardev Singh, Pahang MACC director Moh Samsudin Yusof, Media Prima Berhad editor-in-chief Mohd Lokman Hamidi and Al-Hijrah Media Corporation chief executive officer Bukhari Che Muda.
E. Twenty-one people will be conferred the Setia Ahmad Shah Pahang (SAP) award, 60 the Setia Mahkota Pahang (SMP) award, 36 the Ahli Ahmad Shah Pahang (AAP) award, 99 the Ahli Mahkota Pahang (AMP) award, 128 the Pingat Khidmat Cemerlang (PKC), 91 the Pingat Kelakuan Terpuji (PKT) and 221 the Pingat Jasa Kebaktian (PJK)
