theStar 22 Jun2013 page 22 The Malacca Datukship Council will recognise the state titles conferred by the governor of Malacca and not by self-claimed "sultan" and territorial chieftain. The council president, Tan Sri Datuk Wira Ahmad Nordin said that the list of bona fide recipients of the titles are kept in s guarded book. Perlis is the smallest state in Malaysia, with land area of 821 sqkm compared the the biggest state of Sarawak with the area of 124,450 sqkm. However, the award of honors ignore the size.
