WP Federal Territory Honor List

In conjunction with Federal Territory Day (WP Day) on 1 Feb 2013, a list of recipients of awards including the "Datuk" were given to those who had contributed to the country, Malaysia. The awards were conferred by the King of Malaysia, The Yang Dipertuan Agong.KUALA LUMPUR: Former Works Minister Datuk Seri S. Sultan Peraks Birthday Today

It is the Adat (Custom/ Culture)  for Malaysian to utter the phrase Daulat Tuanku to a Sultan. It is rather difficult to translate, daulat originates from Hindi/Urdu infering the special position of the sultan that cannot be challenged. "Tuanku" consists of two words, tuan = master and ku=my,  means my master ".
