In conjunction with the birth date of the new Agong on 9 Sept 2019, a total of 795 worthy recipients were conferred various awards. honours and medals.
However, only 42 received their respective awards today at the investiture ceremony at Istana Negara. .
The list of the recipients are below:
A. PMN - Panglima Mangku Negara which carries the 'Tan Sri' title.
They are Chief Justice Tengku Maimun Tuan Mat, Chief Secretary to the Government Ismail Bakar and Malaysian Armed Forces chief Zulkifli Zainal Abidin.
B. PSM - the Darjah Kebesaran Panglima Setia Mahkota carrying the title Tan Sri.
A number of 15 were conferred (PSM).
The 15 individuals conferred with the PSM are Dewan Rakyat speaker Mohamad Ariff Md Yusof, Chief Judge of Sabah and Sarawak David Wong, Attorney-General Tommy Thomas, Inspector-General of Police Abdul Hamid Bador, Public Service Department director-general Borhan Dolah, Home Ministry secretary-general Alwi Ibrahim, Treasury secretary-general Ahmad Badri Mohd Zahir, principal secretary to the Prime Minister Badariah Arshad, army chief Ahmad Hasbullah Mohd Nawawi, navy chief Mohd Reza Mohd Sany and former Federal Court judge Balia Yusof Wahi.
Also to be conferred the PSM are MFDM Holdings group executive chairperson Mahamad Fathil Mahmood, Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM) president Soh Thian Lai, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman president and CEO Chuah Hean Teik and Qatari Attorney-General Ali Mehsin AR Fetais.
C. PJN the Darjah Panglima Jasa Negara which also carries title Datuk.
Among individuals to receive the PJN, which carries the ‘Datuk’ title are Election Commission chairperson Azhar Azizan Harun, Prisons Department director-general Zulkifli Omar, Federal Territories mufti Zulkifli Mohamad, Forest Research Institute Malaysia director-general Abd Latif Mohmod, Universiti Teknologi Mara vice-chancellor Emeritus Mohd Azraai Kassim, Football Association of Malaysia president Hamidin Mohd Amin and Malaysian Chinese Muslim Association president Taufiq Yap Yun Hin.
D. PSD - Darjah Panglima Setia Diraja. which carries the ‘Datuk’ title.
The recipients are the Istana Negara grand chamberlain Azuan Effendy Zairakithnaini, Prime Minister Office’s chief protocol officer Rozainor Ramli, National Security Council director-general Engku Hamzah Tuan Mat, Malaysian ambassador to the Republic of Korea Mohd Ashri Muda and former Istana Negara grand chamberlain Mamat Ariffin Abdullah.
E.JMN - Darjah Johan Mangku Negara.
The conferment of federal awards, honours and medals will also involve 23 recipients who will be bestowed with the Darjah Johan Mangku Negara (JMN), and among them are Public Service Department Research and Policy Division director Kamarudin Min, Education Ministry deputy secretary-general (management) Mohd Azhan Md Amir, Primary Industries Ministry deputy secretary-general (commodities) M Ravi and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) vice-chancellor Mohd Hamdi Abd Shukor.
A total of 35 individuals will be bestowed the Darjah Johan Setia Mahkota (JSM), including Institut Latihan Islam Malaysia (ILIM) senior director Zawanah Muhammad, Malacca Customs director Tuang Aleong, Finance Ministry Government Investment Companies Division deputy secretary Abdullah Suhaimin Md Yunus, Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry Enforcement Division deputy director Suhaimi Mat Sari and Agriculture and Agro-based Industry Ministry Irrigation and Drainage Division director Ahmad Darus.
Meanwhile, Army Royal Ceremonial Division commander Romainor Mohamed is the sole recipient of the Darjah Johan Setia Diraja (JSD).
A total of 46 individuals will be conferred the Bintang Kesatria Mangku Negara (KMN), including Bernama Finance and Accounts Department senior manager Sharifah Zaini Syed Zain and bodybuilder Mohd Syahrul Azman Mahen Abdullah.
This year will also witness five individuals being awarded the Bintang Kesatria Setia Diraja (KSD), while 189 will receive the Bintang Ahli Mangku Negara (AMN), 291 the Pingat Pangkuan Negara (PPN) (291) and 48 the Pingat Bentara Setia Diraja (BSD).
The conferment of the awards, honours and medals will mark Sultan Abdullah’s first investiture ceremony after he was installed as the 16th Yang di-Pertuan Agong on July 30.
